Connecting Garmin
Status: Available
Garmin connects directly to Runsei, with no other app in between.
What Runsei reads from it
- Activities: type, distance, time and pace
- Average heart rate for each run
- Sleep, resting heart rate and HRV
What Runsei can send to it
Planned sessions: yes.
- Your next 7 days of sessions, kept on your Garmin calendar and updated when your plan changes (turn on Keep my next sessions on my watch), or one session at a time with Send to watch.
- On the watch they are guided workouts with the pace or heart-rate target Runsei set. They appear once your watch syncs with Garmin Connect.
How to connect, step by step
- In Runsei open Profile, then Data hub (the Connections screen), on the web or on the phone.
- Find Garmin and tap Connect Garmin.
- Garmin’s own sign-in opens. Approve access and you come back to Runsei.
- Open Garmin Connect to sync your watch. Each new activity then reaches Runsei by itself.
- Optional: on the Garmin page, turn on Keep my next sessions on my watch.
What does not work
- Only what happens after you connect: activities from before are not imported.
- Your coach reads your Garmin runs and recovery data only if you separately allow it on the Garmin page (once that choice is offered to you), and you can withdraw it any time.
- Runsei never posts activities to your Garmin account.
- Disconnecting erases the runs and recovery data that came from Garmin and takes the upcoming sessions off your Garmin calendar. Runs from other sources stay.
What you need
- Phone
- Any phone with the Runsei app, or the web app. The connection itself happens between Runsei and Garmin.
- App build
- A current Runsei app. Nothing special to install.
- Watch models
- A Garmin watch that syncs to Garmin Connect. See the compatible devices below for your model.
