What Runsei notices about your progress
Runsei watches for genuine patterns in your own training and points them out when they're real — the kind a good coach notices before you do. Today it looks for four:
- Your reps landing tighter — the spread between your fastest and slowest interval in a session coming down month over month. That's control arriving, and it shows up under the spread figure on the run itself.
- Easy runs staying easy, for the first time — every easy run in the last three weeks under your aerobic ceiling, where earlier weeks had runs above it.
- Consistency holding — four straight weeks landing most of what was planned, after a patchier stretch. Measured as sessions actually done, never as days you opened the app.
- Your baseline moving the right way — resting heart rate, HRV or sleep improving over months.
The rule that makes it worth trusting: no pattern, no praise. Each of these has a minimum amount of evidence and a threshold below which a change counts as noise, and when the numbers don't support one, Runsei says nothing about progress at all rather than reaching for a compliment. "You're improving" is flattery; "your spread came down from 27 to 7 s/km over four weeks" is an observation you can check — and every one of them carries its numbers so you can.
