Connecting your phone’s health data (Apple Health & Health Connect)

Besides Strava, Runsei can read directly from your phone's own health store — Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. That's where overnight recovery lives: sleep, HRV and resting heart rate, which no activity feed carries.

Why it often matters more than it sounds. Some watches lose data on the way to Strava — Samsung Health, for example, hands over the run but not the heart rate. The phone's health store keeps it. If your runs are arriving without heart rate, connecting here is usually the fix, and it's also the working route for a Garmin watch: Garmin Connect writes into Apple Health, and Runsei reads it from there.

Two sources, one run. If the same run arrives from both Strava and your phone, Runsei recognises it as one run rather than counting it twice — and fills in whatever one source was missing from the other.

Where. Profile → Data sources. On Android you may also need to let your watch's own app (Samsung Health, for instance) share into Health Connect first; Runsei can only read what has been put there.
